Ole miss sports hall of fame tad smith8/31/2023 He received his master's degree in sport management from Georgia Southern in 1997. The inductees were selected by a committee in accordance with policy developed by the Associated Student Body. Metcalf is a 1983 graduate of Appalachian State, where he earned a B.S. Ten University of Mississippi seniors have been inducted into the university’s 2020-21 Hall of Fame, one of the highest honors afforded to students at UM. Before enrolling at Winston-Salem State, Metcalf spent four years at stuntman in Hollywood. He also spent one year as an assistant football coach at Winston-Salem State, where he earned his second bachelor of science (B.S.) degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in physical education. Prior to his appointment in the athletic department at GSU, Metcalf served as a graduate teaching assistant in the department of kinesiology at GSU, where he was named Graduate Teaching Assistant-of-the-Year in 1996. Metcalf, who has already reported to his post, takes over for Senior Woman Administrator Rosie Thompson, who was elevated to Associate Athletics Director.
